I mainly worked with microbiology projects in terms of their ecology and evolution. The main tool-set that I have used to investigate these factors were of bioinformatics and genomics. My PhD project was to understand soil microbial communities and the related ecosystem functioning in terms of their genetic potential to address the effects of climate change.
My research interest generally lies around environmental effects on microbial genetics and their functioning. This encompasses mainly their ecology and evolution, but also their effects on human health.
