My primary focus has been on microbiology related projects.

I have investigated microbial communities and their functions in various environments. By employing metagenomics and metatranscriptomics techniques I studied how different agricultural management practices and extreme weather events affect soil microbial communities and their functional capabilities across Europe. Additionally I explored the role of the gut microbiome in development of breast, colon, lung and malignant melanoma cancers.
