Henrike Wiemker

Henrike started working as a System Developer at NBIS in 2021. She holds a Bachelor and Master degree in science journalism and worked as a science journalist for national media in Germany and Sweden for several years before switching career to programming in 2020 / 2021. Her expertise lies mostly within frontend development but during her years at NBIS she has moved towards being a fullstack developer.

She has been involved in several support projects (The Herdbook, GRN Benchmark, PLUPP) as well as internal projects like the time logging system urdr and the development of this website. In January 2024 she took over the role as Product Owner for the PLUPP support project which is a cooperation between NBIS and the Swedish Museum of Natural History.
