metageonmics, biostatistics, statistical modelling, RNAseq, scRNAseq
Viktor has a PhD in mathematical statistics from the University of Gothenburg University and has an engineering background in biotechnology from Chalmers University of technology. During his graduate studies he focused on developing and evaluating statistical methods for metagenomic data. In particular he developed statistical models that better capture the variability observed in metagenomic data which in turn lead to a greater power to detect differences between microbial communities.
Viktor joined NBIS in 2017 as part of the bioinformatics long term support team and the systems biology facility. His main experience lies within statistics related metagenomics as well as RNAseq. Coding in R, bash, Matlab.
