I obtained my PhD in Cancer biology and bioinformatics from Uppsala University were my first project was focusing on creating an epigenomic profile for Multiple myeloma patients using histone chip seq and RNA-seq. The other project using ChIP-seq identified how Alu transcription is regulated in response to growth signals. During my first postdoc at Karolinska at the Center for Hematology and Regenerative Medicine (HERM), I worked on creating a pipeline to identify the noncoding mutations that can have biological consequences using ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and WGS data. In my second postdoc at the University of Manitoba, Canada I integrated the DNA methylation and metabolomic data obtained from adolescents with type 2 diabetes. In my third postdoc, I worked on a mathematical model using bacterial genomics to optimize the pneumonia vaccine.
