Ola Spjuth has a PhD in Bioinformatics from Uppsala University, 2009 and did postdoctoral fellowships at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm and Finnish Institute of Molecular Medicine (FIMM), Helsinki. Ola is employed as Senior Lecturer at Department of Pharmaceutical Biosciences and his research group has focus on how modern e-infrastructures enables data-intensive and translational bioinformatics, with applications in pharmaceutical bioinformatics. Ola is heading the Bioinformatics Compute and Storage facility at NBIS and Science for Life Laboratory and is also deputy director at the UPPMAX high performance computing center at Uppsala University. He is located at SciLifeLab Uppsala.
